Will Bankruptcy Affect My Retail Job Search?

I'm worried about how my filing for bankruptcy back in December of 1998 will affect my being able to get a job in the retail industry.

I was in the middle of a bad marriage and went through fl bankruptcy in our home town. Later we got a divorce so that was two whammys on my credit report but I hadn't thought of it in regard to my getting a new job down the line.

I'm scared now that filing for bankruptcy will show a lack of financial apptitude that some companies might consider vital to a retail management job!
