How Much Gasoline Costs

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Calculating gas mileage can be done using a handy online mileage calculator or otherwise you can even do it yourself. Next time you fill your tank, remember to make a note of your odometer reading or otherwise turn your trip meter down to zero and the number of gallons you purchase, down to the tenth. How do I do this? You can push in the little knob beneath the odometer or otherwise you can even read your owner’s manual incase you have a newer car with a computerized console.

· You need to drive until your tank runs dry.
· Make a note of the odometer reading when you fill up and make sure you don’t forget to subtract the current reading from the first reading you noted.
· Divide the balance figure by the number of gallons you purchased at the beginning of the drive.
