Using Real Grapes To Make Your Wine
Sunday, May 11th, 2008
First of all, wine making from scratch is not recommended for the beginning wine maker. Using real grapes to make wine is both challenging and costly. However, when the product is finished it’s something you can boast about.
The quality of the grapes will determine the taste of the wine. You will have to locate a grape supplier. The weather will dictate where your grape supply will come from and when you can get them.
Here in the northern hemisphere, the grapes are generally harvested in the fall, while in the southern hemisphere they are usually harvested from mid February through the start of March.
