The dread word mold has been thrown out or you’ve already noticed tell-tale signs of it in your home. Don’t panic!  Plenty of charlatans out there hoping to stampede you in to spending vast sums with them to begin a total mold elimination project to get rid of the problem.  many of these entrepreneurs will  and spin war stories about the dire results that can be expected with “toxic black mold”! First of all, educate yourself.  Second, if you have a situation where mold has already appeared, have a certified, licensed professional inspect the premises and give you a written estimate.  then get another one to bid and compare their findings.  Many of the common molds are not toxic and can be removed relatively safely and easily.  I’m not talking flood or fire related mold problems which are a different issue.
