What Is Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment?
Friday, December 7th, 2007If the patient is found to be in more advanced stage of the substance abuse disease, then the counselors will advice them for the inpatient substance abuse treatment. Here patients will need to stay in the substance abuse centers and take the medications under the guidance of doctors. This treatment can be of minimum 30 days and maximum till the patients feels completely in their own control. The patients will be put in a prohibited area, where they will be observed for any detoxification. The patients will need to attain individual as well as group therapy sessions. Their days will be full of such activities. If the doctors feel that the patient is improving, they will shift you into outpatient substance abuse treatment.
