Which Structured Wiring Cable To Use?

Posted by admin

When you are doing up structured wiring for your home, you have two options, Cat 5 and Cat 6. The Cat 5 are adequate for home uses, with a speed of 100 Mbps, but if you want greater speeds, then you can go for the Cat 6, which is a gigabit cable. In addition, Cat 6 have more advantages, such as better carrying of signals through concealed wiring, better transmission of data over long distances, less noise, etc. But the Cat 6 wiring will be costlier. However, if you want to future proof your home, you must go for the Cat 6 cables, never mind the extra expense.
