There is the Associate of Arts degree and the Bachelor’s degree which can provide you with required license to be a professional baker. The former degree takes two years to complete while the latter takes one or two years more to finish. Pastry chef education encompasses a lot of aspects other than simply learning the methods of baking. For instance, it teaches you how to maintain food safety standards, menu development and nutritional values.
