Assisted living is a better long term care plan

Formerly, elderly or invalid persons could not think beyond a nursing home when they had to look for a home away from home that could cater to their needs. However with assisted living being a long term care option nowadays, they prefer this to a nursing home. Assisted living as a form of long term care is also far cheaper than a nursing home and has a better social environment for seniors and invalids. There is more stimulation and there is far more interaction between the people which leads to a happier environment which is conducive to all. As an alternative in long term care, assisted living is good.
