It’s no fun being bankrupt. However, for many businesses, individuals, and even entire governments, declaring bankruptcy is a step that is often quite vital for continued economic survival. Without the relief that is made possible with a declaration of bankruptcy, it can be extremely difficult to get out of debt, if not downright impossible. However, bankruptcy will always come with a disruption in the status quo, and the bankrupt party will have to be prepared to deal with significant changes to the way they operate.
