If you find you simply cannot make payments on your credit cards, your only option may be bankruptcy. This is considered the last option because of the damage it does to you and your credit history. But, sometimes bankruptcy is the only choice from the list of consumer debt solutions.
If you file for bankruptcy, expect to have your credit history trashed, and your bankruptcy to be a matter of public record for ten years. If at all possible, I urge you to consider debt settlement or debt counseling.
