Yes, he would have the same “chance” as everyone else. But he would still need to perform well in the interviews and overall be a stellar candidate. Having an internship first might help and it would also be necessary to demonstrate a strong grasp of Finance. Many top business schools love officers. And once a former military officer is at a business school, they are a student there just like anyone else - they’ll be invited to company information sessions, recruiting dinners, etc. just like the other students.

Yes, or better. The service academies are noted for selecting top candidates, and following up by attending a top business degree makes him/her very attractive.
