Nancy Pelosi has added into the stimulus package money for contraceptives. She thinks it will help the economy.
It seems they are playing with issues that have no or little significance on the economy at this time. How is this going to help the economy?

maybe there will be less babies born

I have no idea how that will help. Maybe if they make them cheaper people will have less babies which equals less welfare, etc.

Of course there is a link between birth control methods and the economy. Less population is related with fewer need of jobs, health services and other factors, on the other hand more population growth means more consumers and the economy moving faster

Supposedly there will be fewer people and therefore fewer people for the government to take care of. You see, liberals think they have to give welfare to everybody so they can control how much money they make. What they don’t realize is that with more people in the world they can be more jobs, more consumers, more spending, etc. So basically, the she-devil Pelosi is wrong.

Infants born to unwed mothers cost a great deal of money in prenatal care, labor and delivery, etc. The biggest cost is in raising a child of an unwed or very poor mother who requires food stamps, medicaid and uses the emergency room for routine health care. Contraceptives (ie condoms) also help decrease the chance of getting a sexually transmitted disease. Hooray for Nancy Pelosi thinking this far ahead, since she is NOT one of my favorites.
