Living trust advice on the golf course

Posted by admin

One of the first questions we asked ourselves when we discovered that we were eligible to establish a living trust was, "Does this mean we need to pay for a lawyer" To be honest I have always been a bit skeptical about lawyers, and the older I get the more skeptical I become. One of my golfing partners is a trust attorney, and during a foursome, whilst waiting to tee off, I asked him a few questions about living trusts, in the hope that he hadn't brought his stop watch to the golf course. To my eternal surprise, he gave me the best piece of free advice I have ever had. He told me that I did not need his services as a lawyer to establish the trust. I could download all the forms from the internet, and they would cost me about 10% of what he would have charged me. It must have been his hole in one that did it. It was a lucky day for both of us.
