Race Is A Contributing Factor For Prostate Cancer

Posted by admin

Native Japanese men have the lowest rate for cancer of the prostate. The risk of prostate cancer is highest among African-American men. Caucasian men are in the middle. Another factor includes a high level of testosterone being linked to prostate cancer. African-American men have higher levels of testosterone. This just shows how so many factors can contribute to a person developing prostate cancer. It is also interesting to note that even though African-American men have a higher risk factor, not all of them are diagnosed with prostate cancer. One day, I suppose science will be able to explain why this is the case.
