There are different types of garden pruners curently available in stores. The most commonly used are bypass pruners, anvil pruners and ratchet pruners so it is recommended you have at least one of these items in your garden tool set. Off these, the bypass pruners are very popular. The bypass pruners are equipped with circular blades, one of which is sharper than the other. On the other hand the anvil Pruner is equipped with only one blade and the other is a flat edge. Anvil pruners are more effective for removing all the unwanted dead material. Ratchet pruners are more like anvil Pruner but more advanced that can help the cutting of the plants to be completed in stages.
