if you have purchased a good quality study Bible recently, you may have noticed that the type size (print) may not be very comfortable. This is certainly a problem — but why are they printed this way? Often times publishers of study Bibles must print the text in smaller size, simply because there is so much information (Notes and comments, in-text maps, cross-references, etc.) that must be placed on each page. With study Bibles of all types, space on a page is at a premium — the few publishers that offer larger-print study Bibles are to be commended for this reason, but be aware that study Bibles equipped with larger print may be very heavy and bulky, and inconvenient to carry around.
